Chessify Team2 min read

The biggest chess stars from all over the world, including Carlsen, Anand, Nakamura, Firouzja, Giri, Hou Yifan, Praggnanandhaa, and many more, are battling it out in London from September 3-12 for the second Global Chess League title. This isn’t just another tournament; it’s the biggest official franchise chess league in the world, and it's about to make waves in the chess community through next-gen interactive technologies.

And Chessify is thrilled to be part of the action. After powering the inaugural season of GCL with our super-strong 1 BN/s cloud analysis, we’re back with something brand new: the world’s first AI chess game commentator, adding a whole new level of excitement to the live games. Imagine every move analyzed and explained instantly, giving fans and viewers the kind of insight that only AI can provide — fast, accurate, and accessible to everyone.

You can experience Chessify's AI commentator in action directly on GCL's official website or on Chessify's own livestreaming page. This collaboration marks a big step forward for chess broadcasting — blending top-tier competition with cutting-edge technology to enhance the viewing experience.

But don't worry — AI isn't here to replace human commentators. Human experts will still be present to guide and entertain, while the AI brings its own flavor, ensuring all key moments are noticed and analyzed with precision. Together, they will create a richer and more immersive viewing experience for fans.

Chessify is always eager to explore new possibilities in chess, and the GCL, with its unique team-based rapid chess format and the very best players in the world, is the perfect setting for that. It’s a league that stands apart, and we’re honored to add our innovation to the mix.

Last year, we contributed powerful live game analysis. This year, we're proud to help raise the bar even further with AI-enhanced commentary, ensuring that the most tech-rich league in chess history delivers something truly special to its fans.

Stay tuned, follow the games, and let the AI bring the magic alive — because this Global Chess League is going to be unforgettable.

You are in Riga. It is just the start and you are still hopeful. You have been lazy all year long, you have nothing to play, but you’ve got 3 hours left before the game. You log in to chessbase cloud, but all good engines are taken. You panic. Don’t panic, try @ChessifyMe.
